Lucian Butucariu is a Romanian glass artist whose practice spans blown glass, fused glass and stained glass. Working since 1982, he moves between sculptural objects and glass created for architectural spaces.
He is a professor and head of the Ceramics, Glass and Metal department at the National University of Arts in Bucharest, UNARTE. Alongside his own practice, he has taught generations of artists since 1990.

Graduated in glass from the Nicolae Grigorescu Institute of Fine Arts, Bucharest.

Joined the teaching staff at the National University of Arts, Bucharest.
